Shelf Life Calculator

Welcome to Shelf Life Calculator

Predict shelf life. Reduce waste. Boost value!

How do storage conditions determine the freshness of your products?
Shelf Life Calculator gives you the science-based answer.

How does it work?

Whether you handle fruit, vegetables or cut flowers, the Shelf Life Calculator helps you make data-driven decisions about product quality and freshness.
Enter the environmental conditions -temperature, humidity, CO₂/O₂ or upload a measurement logfile- and instantly see the predicted remaining storage life of your product.

Alongside this prediction, the calculator provides an overall alarm level that summarises the product condition.
This alarm indicates risks of a low storage life. This can be due to long storage times or high storage temperatures. In can also indicate either chilling or oxygen/carbon dioxide injury.

These insights help users take timely, evidence-based actions to preserve quality, reduce waste, and optimise handling.

How to use?

Users select their product species and enter storage conditions such as duration, temperature, humidity, oxygen, and carbon dioxide,
either manually or by uploading data files (xlsx or csv).

Based on these inputs, Shelf Life Calculator estimates quality loss and provides outputs including remaining shelf life (in days),
visual graphs of quality decay, and alarms that trigger when specific quality limits are exceeded.
